Neuromuscular Therapy

This set of techniques works to restore balance by releasing trigger points (knots in the muscle). A treatment session begins with a postural analysis to evaluate which muscles are tight or out of balance. These techniques are done by Pam Hauser, RN, LMBT.

If you have pain from an injury (some examples would be low back pain, TMJ, whiplash, torn rotator cuff or tennis elbow), Pam can use massage techniques, including Neuromuscular Therapy, to balance your muscles — relieving pain and improving function.

Sports Massage techniques provide the same results, but with different techniques. Sports Massage combines Neuromuscular Therapy with myofascial release — as well as stretches to relax tight muscles and restore balance.

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy is a modality developed by Dr John Upledger. It is a gentle hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functions of the body. Using a touch of generally no more than 5 grams of pressure (the weight of a nickel) a skilled practitioner can find restrictions and release them by holding areas and waiting for them to release. By assisting the body’s natural healing processes, CST is being used more and more as a way to increase resistance to disease and can be helpful in many different circumstances. Pam Hauser, RN, LMBT practices CranioSacral Therapy.

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

The LDT process involves the use of subtle manual maneuvers to aid in the recirculation of the lymphatic flow. Specifically, the therapist works with flat hands, using all the fingers to simulate wavelike movements. The pressure applied is generally around five grams, or the equivalent weight of a nickel.  Pam Hauser, RN, LMBT practices Lymphatic Drainage Therapy.
